| The dropping of the Atomic Bomb took place on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The date of this event was at approximately at 8:15 AM on August 6, 1945. This horrific event led to the causing of many deaths killing about 80,000 people. Not only that but three days later, they were hit by another bombing which was the dropping of Nagasaki causing the death of 40,000 more people. The US was the first the use and drop a deadly atomic weaponry during the wartime. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were the first in the world to witness the power of the nuclear weapons. Japan spotted incoming US planes but didn’t really worry because they didn’t think it was anything necessary due to the small number of planes. It seemed to be the US has been working on developing an atomic weapon five years before they finally attacked Hiroshima. The US decided to drop the bomb on Japan instead of Germany to invade the Japanese mainland. The US had high hopes that the Atomic Bomb would end the war, in which it did. It took them about five years to actually decide to launch the bomb. The US was apparently warned by Einstein that the Nazi Germany already had something planned to destroy US with nuclear weapons. But little did they know, the US has been working on something way bigger as you can see. The US tested out their Atomic Weapon in the desert in New Mexico before actually dropping it on Japan to see if it actually did the damage they were expecting. Japan lost a lot of people. 80,000 plus 40,000 humans were killed using the Atomic Weapon made by the US. Which ended World War II as US hoped. In which case many historian argued that it also ignited the Cold War. The dropping of the Atomic Bomb was intense and will always be remembered. |

On January 27, 1945 the Jewish prisoners were released from the German, Nazi concentration camp. The Holocaust was a very horrifying thing to see. The day that Auschwitz was released the scene was terrifying. The prisoners looked as if they had not been fed for weeks. They were just skin and bones... There was no expression on their face other than relief and suffering. Auschwitz was covered by metal barbed wire fences. The place reeked with bodies decaying and body odor. The prisoners were just skin and bone. They had not been offered showers since the day they got there. The images of Auschwitz were horrifying, that was just a prison and the prisoners, the "Jews" we're only being kept there for a mass genocide. They were being over worked and under fed only to be starved to death. The accomplishment of the Germans, "Nazis" was only to have a pure German country. People all over the world could not believe what evil, Adolf Hitler and the Nazis were and what they had done to innocent people and children. There is not greater evil in the world than Adolf Hitler and his followers, the Nazis. The prisoners were relieved and filled with joy of being released from this concentration camp. Many left with no relatives and nobody to live with. They all left with no belongings and nobody to come "home" to.
On December 07, 1941 at about 7:55 the Japanese decided to attack United States taking place at Pearl Harbor. Today I interviewed Anthony Ramirez. Anthony is many of the few people who survived this devastating yet surprising attack from the Japanese. I asked Anthony how it felt being there and his response to my question was that it felt like hell. Anthony said that the sky was full with airplanes, he said that there was people dying from left to right, and he heard people yelling for help but also saw many of his friend’s dead. He said that once the Japanese decided to attack, they had no protection and many people died looking for protection but also died while trying to fight back. Anthony also stated that this surprising attack lasted for about 2 hours. The estimated outcome of American deaths were to at least 2,000 with 1,272 men wounded and about 960 men went missing. Anthony also said that after this attack at Pearl Harbor, Pearl Harbor was left a disaster. Anthony then told me that after this surprising attack he said that the next day (December 08) United States decided to enter World War 2 and declared war on the empire of Japanese. This gave the United States time to get all the supplies they need and also the get prepared.
